Job description

The position is fully responsible for the Human Resources function to develop strategic partnerships with all business leaders and functional leaders, built on the basis of solid understanding of business needs, to align requirements and priorities, and customize HR solutions and/ or HR deliverable in supporting the business in fulfilling growth aspirations, business, organisational and people results. As part of key member of the senior management and leadership team, the incumbent is not only an HR expert but also have significant experience contributing as a management/ leadership team towards the overall business and strategic direction to delivery business and people results.
Functionally responsible for managing and directing all HR teams within the Group Company, and multi-site plants in China.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with Senior Leadership to develop strategic workforce plans and programs that align with overall strategy of the business to achieve growth
  2. Lead the executive key recruiting initiatives according to the workforce plan to attract, retain, develop and engage talent
  3. Function as a strategic business advisor and thought leader to our Senior Leadership, multi-site plants regarding key organizational, transformation and people related issues
  4. Partner with Regional HR CoE to execute, specifically in the areas of succession planning, executive search, talent management, change management, organisational and performance management, training and development, employee communication and compensation
  5. Lead, manage the day-to-day HR operations of full life cycle of HR processes
  1. Master Degree in Human Resources Management, Organisational Psychology or related field
  2. Minimum 15 years’ experience as a progressive HR professional / practitioner, HR Business Partner or HR Leader in an international enterprise or Global MNC
  3. Minimum 8 years’ experience as Head of HR in China and/ or Greater China capacity
  4. Prefer candidates from consumer goods and manufacturing industry; strong organizational development experience is a plus
  5. Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines such as performance management, compensation and benefits, organisation development, employee relations, and industrial relations
  6. Commercially savvy, numerate and results focused with robust exposure to human resources practices
  7. Agile, adaptive and able to drive and deliver business-relevant HR solutions
  8. Demonstrated good knowledge of local employment law and regulations
  9. Display good leadership including presence and gravitas to have been a key strategic partner to influence senior management on organizational development, talent, and HR issues
  10. Intellectual curiosity and the ability to build and possess a strong network of relationships.
  11. Able to achieve goals and align interests through cooperation and collaboration with other groups and cross-functional teams
  12. Possesses track record in stakeholder engagement and management across all levels
  13. Confident with influencing and building relationships across cultures and levels
  14. Proven track record of managing cross-functional business relationships across all stakeholders
  15. Strategic driven and possess critical thinking with strong commercial orientation
  16. Possess strong leadership, communications, interpersonal, and motivational skills along with excellent business skills, financial acumen and executive presence
  17. A collaborative team player with all cross functional teams and external stakeholders, and have ability to inspire others
  18. High level of integrity, respect for others, persistence, and passion for success  Work experience outside China is a plus  Language ability: Mandarin (Native) and English ( Frequent travel to plants and Regional Head Office (for conference and meetings) are expected
