Improve COMPANY China’s market position and financial growth. With the support of the Marketing & Strategic team, he/she builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, drive the project investment and company acquisition. He/she also negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

· Understand COMPANY’s goal and strategy so that you will continually enhance its performance by your actions;

· Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network;

· Responsible for the district energy projects/assets investment and company M&A.

· With the support of COMPANY China Marketing and Strategy team, monitor the business environment, in both China and worldwide, in order to identify any potential change of your market in an effective manner;

· Prospect for potential new opportunities/partnerships within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities;

· (Pre)qualify them in collaboration with your Business Line Manager and the BD & Strategy Department to retain the best opportunities, while estimating your partners' needs and goals;

· When approved, sets-up, lead and motivate international and multidisciplinary teams to assess risks and potentials, as well as value all the aspects of an BD operation (technical, HSE, commercial, financial, legal, ethics, risks management, marketing and strategy, HR…);

· With the support of your Business Line Manager and the BD & Strategy Department, you will be responsible for the guidance of operations and carries the responsibility for bringing them before the decision-making bodies of COMPANY China and the Group, while following COMPANY best practices, methodologies and standards (incl. Peer Review, BDO,);

· With the support of your Business Line Manager, the BD & Strategy Department and COMPANY China legal team, you will be responsible for the negotiation of contracts with interested parties (purchaser, vendor, partners, government bodies): NDA, LOI, MOU, NBO, SPA, SHA, for developing or purchasing projects/services or assets/company;

· When operations are completed/closed, you will transfer in a professional manner all the relevant documentation to the Operations Department in order for it to pursue successfully the operational aspects of the acquired targets.

Required qualifications


Master; engineering background and/or a sound technical understanding of the smart lighting and smart cities sectors


· Minimum 5 years’ experience required in smart lighting / smart cities in a Business investment and/or acquisition position.

· Mother tongue is Mandarin, proficiency both spoken and written in English and Chinese;

· Ability to build a strong network in his/her domain of expertise and market.

· Strong understanding of its market dynamics, COMPANY China’s competitors, as well as partners/customers’ needs and requirements.

· Experience in the assets buying or selling.

· Know-how and experience in M&A.

· Experience in team management.

· Excellent organizational skills are essential, as well as risks management and performance monitoring.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong team spirit and willingness to empower his/her team members.

· Flexible and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks at single instance within compressed times.

· Innovative, stress tolerance, negotiation and decision-making skills.

· Willingness to travel when needed.

· Tenacity, persuasiveness, ability to project himself or herself in the future and to outline strategic focuses and action plans
