Reports to the Vice President Global Product Management
This position is responsible for devising and executing go to market strategy for a revolutionary package printing system developed specifically for high growth markets.
Perform detailed market analysis in China on use cases, pricing and go to market
Conduct VOC, market segmentation, and create value maps and business case financial screens. First in China then other developing markets.
Develop go to market strategy (channels) for rapidly and profitably gaining maximum market with a revolutionary digital product
Devise and implement easy to use customer payment processing by leveraging ubiquitous commercially available payment systems in China (WeChat, AliPay, etc.)
Work with commercial operations in China (and other developing countries) to set up customer onboarding, service, and support process in a simple, low cost way
Work with operations team in China to set up low cost fulfillment process to get printers to customers in a simple, low cost way
Lead digital thought leadership marketing to increase target customer interest in the switching from decades old manual hot stamp technology to revolutionary digital package printing
Engage freelance writers to generate relevant marketing content on benefits of digital package printing aimed at target customers currently using hot stamp technology
Continuously perform digital marketing activities for organic and paid search on China-specific search engines (Baidu, Alibaba, etc.)
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Must be hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture. Must be interested in understanding the world from the customer perspective. Will need to be a quick study and self-starter operating in a startup-like environment. This person will be high energy and able to handle conflict. Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, ever changing environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations.
2 years of Marketing/Product Management. Startup experience a big plus
BS or BA Degree in Engineering or Business. MBA preferred
Fluent in spoken and written Chinese. Knowledge of local Chinese dialects is a plus
Strong command of written and oral communication in English
Well versed in ubiquitous Chinese digital consumer ecosystems (Baidu, Alibaba, WeChat/Tencent, etc)
Experience in digital marketing and/or ecommerce a big plus
