Job description


Job Title: Sales General Manager, China - Sheet Fed Printing Machine

Job facts:

  • Location: Shenzhen or Shanghai
  • Reports To: VP Great China


Job Summary:

  • The intention is to dramatically grow sales, add key manufacturing capabilities, and support for global supply chain.
  • This leader will have overall P&L responsibility and accountability of the Great China region, be able to manage the daily and short-term activities/goals of the entire China team while leading and developing the region for long-term growth and success.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute our client Global and Great China Strategies in China, achieving the region’s business objectives and goals (including, but not limited to, sales growth, profit growth, forecast accuracy, product goals, application expanding and more)
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term (5-year) strategies that focus on regional growth, excellence, and effectiveness
  • Growing presence in the region driving organic Year-on Year sales growth
  • Introducing select manufacturing processes to support regional sales
  • Representing company in the Chinese market, on trade fairs and other events.
  • Develop and implement business processes and workflows that support business growth, business strategies, employee productivity and effectiveness, and Our client’s long-term vision for the Great China region
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans and/or projects, having the mindset of making China the most progressive region within the organization.
  • Understand all aspects of the business, communicate well with the global president and all global management levels allowing yourself to make educated and optimized changes as needed to support the company’s goals and efforts
  • Be a leader, guiding and developing the China team to achieve the business aim.
  • Communicate well with the major regional customers and the market partners, and establish a solid Great China region business network
  • Execute all other tasks assigned by the company


Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, major in Economics/Marketing/Business/Engineering
  • Management or related field, MBA/EMBA is preferred


Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a business leadership role with proven successes in the region
  • Previous work experience within Printing & Packaging machinery industry
  • Solid client resources in the field of printing & publishing
  • Work experience in European MNC is preferred


Other Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, German is an advantage.
  • Result-oriented, positive, proactive, strong sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Strong analytical and Computer Skills, and excellent customer relation skills
  • Integrity, hardworking, self-motivated, open-minded, organized
  • Strong believer in teamwork and team spirit
