Job description of

Area Sales Manager, China – Airport

Company profile:

Our company is a global engineering group, headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland.

The group is made up of some 35 sales companies and seven “Centres of Excellence”. It designs and manufactures automation and electrification technologies that are used to operate mobile equipment at ports, airports, and a variety of industrial sectors.

The business is divided into three divisions: Ports & Maritime, Airports & Industry, and Services

Job facts:

  • Location: can be based in Shanghai office in Minhang or home based in anywhere
  • Department: Sales Department
  • Reports To: Regional Sales Director, based in Australia

Job Summary:

  • Achieve sales targets in the assigned area following the Regional Sales Director/Segment Sales Director/Area Sales Manager guidelines
  • Execute business development activities, identifying new customers and up-selling / cross-selling new sales opportunities within existing key accounts
  • Maintain and develop high level sales relationships in order to maintain and increase market quotas

Responsibility:

  • Respect business KPIs as per Regional Sales Director/Segment Sales Director/Area Sales Manager guidelines
  • Support the Regional Sales Director/Segment Sales Director/Area Sales Manager in deploying the global sales strategy facilitating growth and sales in the assigned area
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives
  • Manage and develop strong and long-lasting relationships with existing and new customers to facilitate business delivery
  • Identify new opportunities and promote the system/product selling, acting as a company ambassador
  • Ensure major top customers’ needs are met
  • Negotiate business opportunities and contracts with clients
  • Monitor progress, in cooperation with Project Managers, ensuring on-time delivery of closed negotiation
  • Provide technical and commercial support to existing customers
  • Read and analyses technical and commercial tender documentation
  • Prepare technical and commercial offer documentation
